DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — An Urbandale man who says he's played the same Powerball numbers for about 20 years has claimed a ticket worth $1 million.
Robert Winburn won the $1 million secondary prize after his ticket matched the first five numbers in Saturday's drawing but didn't match the Powerball. The 49-year-old claimed his prize Tuesday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines.
Winburn, who bought the ticket at a Git-N-Go convenience store in Urbandale, said he's used the same numbers for about 20 years. The numbers once won him $100.
The latest Powerball jackpot is an estimated $400 million. The next drawing is scheduled Wednesday.
