The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will host a fall Hunter Education class Aug. 24 (6-9 p.m.), Aug. 26 (6-9 p.m.), and Aug. 28 (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Emmet County Izaak Walton League in Estherville.
All three session dates must be attended. Anyone 11 years old or older may enroll in the course.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Persons interested must register at www.iowadnr.gov/training.
Individuals under the age of 14 must have a parent/guardian register them for the course through the Web site.

Hunter education is a mandatory program in Iowa that requires anyone born after Jan. 1, 1972 be certified in hunter education before they are eligible to purchase an Iowa hunting license.
