To the EDN:
Don Schiltz, it's time for you to resign from the Estherville Lincoln Central School Board. Investigations 101 requires that you investigate before taking sides and you don't ruin someone's reputation and air out the dirty linen in public. I have heard nothing but bad things about you ever since I have come back to Estherville. This is not your and I repeat your Board of Education. You are equal to each and every other member who has been elected to this board.
Now let's get back to the issue. You should have had someone investigate the complaint and not in a public forum. You never embarrass a manager in front of his or her peers without making sure your facts are correct and you can't do that without hearing from all sides. I have known Mr. Grems for several years and I have never heard him be disrespectful to anyone in my presence. And since it is apparent you are either bias in this matter, another board member such as Molly Anderson or Mr. Karels should conduct an impartial investigation.
Just remember, you are supposed to be representing the people who have children in the school district and that doesn't mean you take matters personally but do it with a level head so that this matter can be resolved and no one gets embarrassed especially if the investigation turns out to vindicate the individual you attacked.
