APPLE?VALLEY, Minn. - Kerry Clark Hennon, of Apple Valley, MN the son of James and Ethel (Westfall) Hennon was born August 26th, 1947 in Estherville, IA. He passed away suddenly from heart failure at his home Monday, September 17th, 2012 in Apple Valley, MN. He was 65 years old.
Kerry was a Vietnam War Veteran and retired from Homeland Security. He received medals of Honor including a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, Two Overseas Bars, and was recognized as a marksman M-16 and Expert M-14. He was an avid classic car collector and enthusiast. He had a love of music and playing the guitar.
Left to cherish Kerry's memory are his daughter Alicia K Benjamin of Mesa, Ariz., his former spouse of 25 years, Jackie Haller of Cambridge, MN; sister, Stephanie Medina of Des Moines; brother, Michael M. Bradshaw of Estherville, IA; sister, Marcine Jacobsen and husband Doug of Estherville, IA, and many friends both old and new; nieces, Estrella (Medina) Jones of Des Moines, IA; Christina (Jacobsen) Ullom and husband Ben of Sioux Falls, SD; nephew Curtus Jacobsen and wife Carissa of Osceola, IA; great nieces and nephews, Zion Jones, Claire, Chloe, and Cole Jacobsen and Jace Ullom. Preceding Kerry in death were his parents, his sister Sherry Hennon, and his stepfather.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at White Funeral Home 14560 Pennock Avenue Apple Valley, Minnesota with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
