RUTHVEN - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire improved to 2-1 on the season with a 41-40 win over West Bend-Mallard on Tuesday.
The titans led 5-3 after one quarter and 17-14 at halftime. The Wolverines tied the game at 24-24 after three quarters.
"The girls played extremely hard tonight to hold onto a one-point win against a good WB-M team," said GT/RA coach Todd Hough. "We are excited to start conference play with a win and are looking forward to improving and getting ready for our next game."
Lauren Flaharty led the Titans with 11 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and five assists. Grace Skattebo had 10 points and eight rebounds while Brooke Hoffman chipped in 10 points. Marley Baaken had seven points and three steals.
Katie Olesen had three steals.
GT/RA (2-1 overall, 1-0 in the Cornbelt was on the road against Corwith-Wesley-Luverne on Friday. The Titans are at Storm Lake St. Mary's on Tuesday.
