MANSON - Since last Friday's game against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire, the North Union girls have just struggled to hit shots.

According to Warrior coach Merle Tigges, his team shot just 20 percent in a 42-21 loss to Class 2A No. 12 Manson-Northwest Webster.

"Their defense was good, but we had no 3-pointers tonight," said Tigges. "We're just not hitting outside shots."

North Union trailed 15-5 after one quarter, 23-9 at halftime and 36-11 after three quarters.

"We did contain them (Manson-NW) a little better than the last time we played them," said Tigges.

Sarah Rolling led North Union with five points and Dena Looft had four points and four steals. Madison Bollig had four points, Shelby Luke had three, Cheyanne Boland and Maddy Irmiter each had two and Aurora Oliver had one.

North Union (4-3 overall, 1-1 in the Cornbelt Conference) hosts Harris-Lake Park this evening in Armstrong.
