LAURENS - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire couldn't keep pace with Laurens-Marathon as the Chargers won 61-44 on Thursday.
The Titans stayed close for the first quarter, trailing 8-7 after 8 minutes of play.
But the hosts went on a 12-0 to start the second quarter and maintained that advantage the rest of the contest.
Austin Dyer broke the drought for the titans as he hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 10, 20-10, but the Chargers Tyler Stumbo answered with a trey. GTRA's Conner Sturgill hit two baskets before halftime, but Laurens-Marathon led 25-14 at the break.
Andy Geelan hit a 3-pointer early in the third quarter to bring the Titans within 10, 27-17, but they still trailed by 11 when Sturgill scored inside again at 30-19. That's when the Chargers put together an 8-0 run for their biggest lead at 38-19.
The Titans ended with an 8-2 run over their own as they trailed 40-27 after three quarters.
But GTRA couldn't make a dent in the deficit in the final frame.
Sturgill led GTRA with 17 points, Dyer had nine, Trevor Hagedorn had eight, Marcus Girres had five and Geelan had three.
GTRA (2-4 overall) travels to Hull next Tuesday to play Trinity Christian.
