Estherville Daily News

A host of wonderful Christmas programs is slated for Estherville over the next week or so.

An AWANA Christmas Musical will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Baptist Church. About 70 youth will put on the program which is sure to please anyone who loves the pageantry and poignance of the Christmas story. Refreshments will follow the program.

Guardian Angel Preschool will hold its Christmas program at 9:15 Monday morning. If you're going, be sure to be there early because the seats fill up fast.

The Estherville Lincoln Central 5-8 Christmas band concert will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Auditorium. These young people have been working very hard on their music, and you'll appreciate the result of their efforts.

Glenn Henriksen will perform with Rosie's Bells at Rosewood Manor 7 p.m. Thursday. This is sure to be a real crowd pleaser.

Henriksen will perform again in the annual Glenn and Friends concert 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 at United Methodist Church. If you've ever heard people say, "I'm sorry I missed that concert," this is the concert they were talking about. Henriksen consistently assembles an ensemble of talent that rivals any concert anywhere.

If the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping has gotten you down, you deserve to give yourself a break by attending some of these great concerts. It's a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit and get back to what Christmas is all about.
