SIBLEY - The Spirit Lake boys won their second straight game with a 56-32 win over Sibley-Ocheyedan on Saturday. The Indians shut out the host Generals 17-0 in the first quarter and led 31-12 at halftime and 45-22 after three quarters.
Sam Harms led Spirit Lake with 13 points. Alex Pringnitz had eight points while Tyler Alger had seven, Paul Brown and Alec Henrickson each had six, Cole Thate and Trevor Smith each had five, JD Mitchell had four and Zach Arneson had two.
Alger had six rebounds and three assists. Brown had five assists. Alger, Arneson, Henrickson and Thate each had two steals.
On Friday, Spirit Lake needed overtime to defeat Storm Lake 62-58.
The Tornadoes led 12-10 after one quarter, 30-26 at halftime and 42-39 after three quarters, but the Indians tied the game by the end of regulation at 51-51.
The Indians won overtime 11-7.
Brown had 17 points, five assists and three steals to lead the Indians. Smith finished with 16 points and four rebounds.
Henrickson had 13 points while Pringnitz had nine, Arneson had three and Alger and Harms each had two. Harms also had four rebounds.
Spirit Lake (11-5 overall, 4-5 in the Lakes Conference) hosts Cherokee this evening.
