CORWITH, RUTHVEN, LAKE MILLS - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire boys posted a 1-2 record over its last three games.
Last Tuesday, the Titans defeated Corwith-Wesley-Luverne 63-41.
The Titans led 20-9 after one quarter, 33-18 at halftime and 47-28 after three quarters. Connor Sturgill led the Titans with 22 points, 11 rebounds and two blocked shots. Marcus Girres was 5-of-10 from 3-point range as he finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Austin Dyer chipped in 11 points along with 5 assists and two steals. Trevor Hagedorn had four points, Jared Sikora had three and Andy Geelan, Mason McGrauth, Michael Girres and Lane Reiman each had two.
Against Trinity Hull on Friday, GTRA had a poor third quarter, which led to a 59-51 loss. GTRA trailed 19-14 after one quarter, but led 25-22 at halftime. Trinity rallied to take a 41-32 lead after three quarters.
Dyer finished with 20 points, three assists and two steals. Sturgill had 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots.
Trevor Hagedorn had eight points, Michael Girres had six and Andy Geelan had two.
On Saturday, GTRA lost 50-36 to Lake Mills.
The Bulldogs led 18-10 after one quarter, 29-19 at halftime and 40-32 after three quarters. Sturgill led he Titans with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Dyer had 12 points, five steals and four assists. Hagedorn had seven points and six rebounds. McGrauth and Michael Girres each had two points.
GTRA (7-11 overall, 6-2 in the Cornbelt Conference) takes conference leader and Class 1A No. 5 Harris-Lake Park (14-1, 9-0) in Lake Park on Friday.
