The Iowa Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team broke back into the top 10 in this week's NJCAA Div. II top 25 coaches' poll; jumping from No. 12 to No. 8. The Lakers, with a 21-5 overall record and 10-2 in the conference, also hold the top spot in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.
"Good honor for our guys and all the hard work they have put into the season," said Iowa Lakes coach Troy Larson. "Our focus is on continuing to get better and to be playing the best possible basketball come tournament time."
Iowa Lakes has two conference games left on the schedule; Saturday, Feb. 23 against Iowa Central in Fort Dodge and Saturday, March 2 versus Ellsworth Community College in Estherville. Winning one of these two final league games would ensure the Lakers the No. 1 seed in the regional tournament.
