The Avera Holy Family Foundation theme this year is the Fabulous 50's, with the event 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 5 at the Estherville Golf Course.
Sandy Lunning, foundation and project manager, said this year's event will again include the famed lavish hors d'oeuvres' buffet as well as wine sampling upstairs and beer sampling downstairs.
"People are invited to wear their attire from the 50's," said Lunning, which could include anything from poodle skirts to saddle shoes.
Lunning gratefully acknowledged a long list of corporate sponsors who have underwritten the cost of the event. She said the foundation uses proceeds to pay for scholarships for healthcare students, hospital equipment and to help defray healthcare costs for those who can't afford them.
Lunning said there will be over 50 general raffle items with the grand prize an Iowa Hawkeye leather recliner from Jensen Furniture. There will also be a $1,000 certificate to Worldwide Travel, donated by Northwest Bank.
A limo service will be available to take guests within the Estherville area to and from the event. And, of course, there will be the ubiquitous 50's music.
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased by calling Sandy Lunning at 362-6131. All tickets must be purchased by April 3. Tickets will not be available at the door.
