SPIRIT LAKE - A pair of second-place relay finishes paced the Estherville Lincoln Central track team at the Spirit Lake Boys Invitational on Tuesday.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Joe Heinrichs, Blake Gjerde, Rodrick Fuller and Tyler Swanson finished in 8 minutes, 41 seconds to place second. Heinrichs had the best split with a 2:06.8.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Derek Nieland, Matt Burrell, Andres Blanco and Adam Reiter placed second in 1:36.2.

Justin Heinrichs added a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.2 seconds.
In the 3200-meter run, Lee Christensen placed fourth in 10:48.8 and Nic Peters placed fifth in 10:57.
"That was an outstanding effort by two freshmen," said ELC coach Dick Barrett.
In the 1600-meter run, Joe Heinrichs placed fourth in 4:55 and Fuller placed sixth in 4:57.
The medley relay team of Blanco, Reiter, Burrell and Swanson placed fifth in 4:03.
Also, Chase Bonner took fifth in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 10 inches.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Zain Dostal, Evan Hansen, Joel McCoy and Fuller placed sixth in 4 minutes.
ELC is scheduled to host the 92nd running of the Estherville Relays on Thursday. Inclement weather is forecast for that day.
