He passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the Lippold Hospice Suite at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
Mike was born Feb. 23, 1959, to Leo and Theresa (Ripperger) Krenn in Estherville. There he attended Catholic grade school and graduated high school. Mike then graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate Degree as an auto body technician from Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg.
Mike was united in marriage to Debra Pospisil on Sept. 15, 1979, and he lived in the Des Moines area for many years before moving to Sturgis in 2007. Mike worked for Zylstra Auto Body and Frame since his move to Sturgis.
He had a passion for riding motorcycles and he became known as Miker the Biker to many. Any day the sun was shining, one could find Biker on his Softtail Slim, enjoying his freedom. He was especially grateful to the Hospice of the Northern Hills' hard work and determination to fulfill Mike's wish for one last ride on his prized Softtail Slim.
Mike is survived by three brothers, Daniel (Rosita) Krenn of Spring Valley, Calif., Lonnie (Lacy) Krenn of Lake Alvarado, Texas and Mark (Marlene) Krenn of Sturgis; two sisters, Kathy Henderson of Phoenix and Denise (Kim) Born of Deadwood, S.D.; his mother, Theresa Anderson, of Spearfish, S.D.; former wife, Debra Stensrud, of Des Moines and numerous nieces and nephews.
