Dani Huston, a student from Idaho Falls, Idaho, gave the student address at the Iowa Lakes Community College 2013 spring commencement Friday night at the Estherville campus gym.
"She's one of the hardest-working members we have on the soccer team," said Mary Faber, Spencer campus director. "She is known on our campus as the get-it-done girl."
Faber said Huston planned to transfer to Idaho State University to major in law enforcement.

Huston told of her decision to come to Iowa Lakes to play soccer and the inspiration she received from her father.
"That's what my dad did that most dad's do - he made me think," Huston said.
Huston also thanked graduates' parents.
"As we approach each of life's milestones, you were there to catch us when we fell."
She also had some advice for graduates.
"It is our time to make our mark on the world," said Huston. "To me, being perfect is not about that scoreboard out there. You did everything that you could. There was not one more thing that you could have done."
College president Valerie Newhouse also offered accolades to graduates.
"You have persevered with your academic studies and we are here to recognize your accomplishments," said Newhouse.
"You've done well, students. Congratulations," said Jan Lund, board of trustees president, reflecting Newhouse's remarks.
