Jackson man killed in motorcycle crash

A Jackson, Minn., man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's report, the office was notified of a motorcycle accident near the intersection of State Highway 264 and CSAH 4 in Round Lake Township, Jackson County, around 10:30 p.m.

Jason Clair Libengood, 32, of rural Jackson, was operating a 600ccYamaha traveling westbound on CSAH 4 and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. He entered the south ditch, struck and sign and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Libengood was transported to Sanford Worthington Hospital where he died from his injuries. The motorcycle was a total loss.

Assisting the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were the Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Round Lake Fire Department and the Sanford Worthington Ambulance Service.
