When Michelle Griese and Regina Wiseman found some money in an article of donated clothing at Thrifty's recently, they did the right thing.
And man, was Shirley Ukasick glad.
It seems that Michelle and Regina, who were working at Thrifty's, discovered the money in the clothing in a donation box. Regina was going through pockets - a standard procedure with donated clothing. And Michelle found two envelopes of cash.
"I just wanted to get it up here in the safe and try to get it to the person that it belongs to," Michelle said.
Fortunately, there was also some identification that allowed them to track the money down to the rightful owner.
Shirley was glad of that.
"Thankful? I praised God for two days," she said.
"I'm glad it got back to the person it belonged to. That's all we really cared about," Michelle said.
