SPENCER - After falling behind 4-0, Estherville Lincoln Central rallied to tie Spencer in the top of the seventh at 5-5. But the Midgets couldn't push the go-ahead run across the plate and eventually an error in the ninth led to a 6-5 loss to the Tigers.
"Our pitchers threw well again tonight and the kids fought back well," said ELC coach Lee Evans. "We just need to cut down on the mistakes and value outs."
ELC started poorly making two errors in the first inning that allowed Spencer took take the lead.
