LEMARS - Spirit Lake was looking for a little revenge Monday after losing 8-0 to LeMars in the teams' first meeting on June 5.
But the Class 3A No. 6 Bulldogs again clamped down defensively on the indians, winning 10-0 in six innings.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, scored a run in the fifth and ended the game with six runs in the sixth.
Paul Brown took the loss for Spirit Lake as he gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Reese Salmon pitched the final two-thirds of an inning and gave up six runs (one earned) on four hits with two walks and no strikeouts.
The Indians were limited two hits by LeMars' starter Parker Rolfes, who also struck out seven batters with no walks.
Salmon and Andrew Ites each went 1-2 at the plate.
Spirit Lake (11-3 overall) hosted MOC-Floyd Valley on Tuesday. The Indians travel to Estherville this evening.
