A Wallingford man was arrested on drug charges after being picked up on Highway 4 south of Estherville on Sunday, July 14.
According to Sheriff Mike Martens, a deputy was on patrol and observed a male walking southbound at approximately 4:10 a.m. on Highway 4.
Upon investigation, it was determined there was an active arrest warrant for the male, identified as Robert Cody Wright, 21, of Wallingford for contempt of court.
The deputy placed Wright under arrest pursuant to the warrant and in the process, discovered a substance believed to be marijuana. Wright was transported to the Emmet County Jail where he was booked on the contempt warrant and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
