LATIMER - Mason McGrauth ran for three touchdowns on runs of 46, 55 and 50 and finished with 195 rushing yards on seven carries in Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's 53-10 win over CAL, Latimer on Friday.
Quarterback Marcus Girres attempted just two passes on the night, but both went for touchdowns. He also ran for a 59-yards run and finished with 64 yards on three carries.
CAL scored the first points of the night with a field goal at the 6:39 mark of the first quarter. But Kyle Dalen came back with a 16-yard run and two-point conversion with 4:03 left in the period. McGrauth then scored his first touchdown from 46 yards out at the 2:09 mark.
Girres completed his first pass early in the second quarter, a 25-yard strike to Garrett Parker with 11:38 remaining on the first-half clock. Girres then scored on his big run with 7:13 left in the half. Ethan Peterson added the point-after as the Titans led 27-3 at the break.
Girres then connected on a 53-yard strike with Jake Wegener with just a minute gone in the second half. Peterson again added the kick. McGrauth's next two runs came at 8:09 and 21 seconds in the third quarter. Peterson added the PAT after the second score.
CAL finally scored with 20 seconds left in the game on a 6-yard pass play. But GT/RA's Taylor Enderson returned the ensuing kickoff 73 yards for the final tally.
GTRA finished with 397 yards on the ground on 30 carries. Dalen had 13 carries for 106 yards.
Defensively, Matt McGrauth had eight tackles, Mason McGrauth and Dalen each had six while Alex Hoffman and Damian Suwalski each had five tackles.
GTRA (3-2 overall, 2-1 in district play) hosts Newell-Fonda in Graettinger next Friday.
