Absentee ballots available for North Union Feb. 4 special election

Residents who would like to vote early or vote at home for the Feb. 4, 2014 North Union Community School District Special Election, absentee ballots are now available in the Emmet County Auditor's Office. Voting may be done in person at the Emmet County Auditor's Office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

To have a ballot sent to you the following information must be provided in writing to the Auditor's Office:

n Name

n Address

n Address to mail the ballot to if different from home address

n Birth date

n Name or date of election for the ballot you are requesting

n Signature

The information can be submitted on your own paper (min. 3" X 5") or an official request form can be obtained from the Auditor's Office or on line at emmetcountyia.com. The completed request must be received in the Auditor's office by 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 and a ballot will be mailed to you.
