The North Union Girls went 2-1 in the final three games of the season.
The Warriors defeated West Bend-Mallard 47-43 on Friday, Feb. 7 and then lost 44-24 to Humboldt on Monday. On Tuesday, the Warriors defeated Lake Mills 62-37.
Against West Bend-Mallard, neither team got off to a quick start with North Union lead 6-3 after one quarter and 20-18 at halftime. The Warriors took a 32-25 lead into the final frame. The Wolverines' rally came up short.
Sara Rolling led North Union with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Dena Looft had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists. Madison Bollig had seven points, Aurora Oliver had six, Madison Irmiter had five, Peyton Oleson had there and Hanna Gardner had one. Irmiter also had nine rebounds and Oliver had six.
Humboldt shot out North Union on Monday in the first quarter, 20-0. The Wildcats led 32-6 at halftime and 44-15 after three quarters.
Bollig led North Union with eight points, Rolling had four, Oleson had three, Hannah Anderson, Madison Irmtier, Oliver and Looft each had two and Alexis Valvick had one. Looft had eight rebounds, Irmiter blocked four shots and Bollig had three steals.
North Union (12-6 overall) travels to Sibley today, Feb. 15 to face the Generals of Sibley-Ocheyedan (15-6 overall). Game time is 7 p.m.
