Estherville Police Chief Eric Milburn is expected to submit his resignation at the regular city council meeting.

According to the council agenda, the long-time chief plans to retire from the force.

In another police department matter, council will review a proposed agreement for law enforcement between the cities of Estherville and Armstrong.

In other business, council will be presented with a petition for the voluntary annexation of an area northeast of the city. Council will consider setting a public hearing on this matter.

Also, council will consider approving a State Energy Program Grant with the Iowa Economic Development Authority to conduct a co-generation feasibility study.

Under old business, council will revisit a request to authorize the city attorney to proceed with the steps necessary to eliminate the minimum housing code violation at 103 W. S. First St.
