ARMSTRONG - Funeral services for Marie England, 66, of Estherville will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at United Methodist Church in Armstrong with Pastor Lyndon Roesler officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Armstrong. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong.
She died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Avera McKennen Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Marie Lou (Jahnke) England, the daughter of Myron and Jeanie (Phillips) Jahnke, was born July 25, 1947 in Frost, Minn.
She grew up and received her education in the Granada school system. Marie attended Iowa Lakes Community College graduating in 1995 with her accounting degree.
On Dec. 21, 1984 she married her soul mate Roger England at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Armstrong until 2010 when they moved to Estherville. Over the years, Marie was employed with United Foods in Fairmont for 28 years, Brown Printing, County Market Casey's General Store and Bob Boland Ford. It was her greatest accomplishment along with raising her children and grand (angel) children to work side by side with beloved Husband Roger in their trucking company England Trucking Co. She enjoyed riding in the Truck with Roger, her gardening and flowers, raising chickens, other birds, goats, ducks and geese on the farm just outside of Armstrong.
For hobbies, Marie enjoyed crafts, gardening and most important was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Marie's memory are her soul mate, Roger, of Estherville; her children, William Timm and his wife, Lyn, of Armstrong; Kim Timm and his wife, Melissa, of Estherville; Melanie Schwidder and her fianc, Brad Becker, of Estherville; Devin Timm and his wife, Missy, of Alton; 10 grand (angel) children; one great-grandchild who will sadly miss her; siblings, Kenneth Jahnke and his wife, Linda, of Guckeen, Minn.; Mary Rich of Truman, Minn.; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Judy), Richard (Dori), three sisters-in-law, Jeanne, Mary (Daryl), Bobbi and several nieces and nephews.
