About midway through the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July flight breakfast Friday morning, crowds surged and lines formed as people came for the 66th annual event.
It wasn't just pancakes, sausage and eggs that people were looking for, though. There were also a number of conventional and experimental aircraft on display, airplane rides and selections from the Northwest Iowa Jazz Band.
Roy and Rose Gage brought ponies for kids to ride, many for the first time.
People enjoyed seeing the planes — both conventional and experimental at the 66th annual Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce Flight Breakfast at the Estherville Airport on Friday.

The Black Knights Car Club members of Estherville also brought a number of antique and classic cars, always a welcome sight. It was a pretty busy day for the Black Knights, in fact, who also participated in the Armstrong car show and held a cruise-in Friday night on North Sixth Street along Library Square.
Lots of volunteers pitched in, including Kiwanians, Rotarians and chamber members.
