By Michael Tidemann - Staff Writer , Estherville News

"We Salute Our Veterans" is the theme of this year's Estherville Sweet Corn Days Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 3.

A focal point of this year's theme is the Remember the Fallen display, a traveling memorial to Iowa's soldiers who fell in Iraq and Afghanistan. The display will be in the former Heartland Technology building at 17 N. Sixth St. 5-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and all Day Saturday.

New events and changes this year are a magic show, relocating the Black Knights Car Club car show from North Sixth to North Eighth Street, Zip line, duck dive at the outdoor swimming pool instead of a duck float on the Des Moines River west fork and a live band at the street dance Saturday night.
