Bank Plus staffers earn $1,600 for non-profit groups

REGIONAL - Bank Plus employees who provided more than 1550 hours of volunteer service for non-profit organizations over the last 12 months have earned $1,600 in donations from their employer for their favorite charities through the locally owned financial institution's Community Plus Employee Volunteer Incentive Program.

"Bank Plus rewards its employees for volunteering their time to local community efforts with a $100 donation in the employee's name to the non-profit organization of their choice," explained President John Folsom. "Through this unique employee program, we encourage our staff to join the bank's support of our local communities on a personal level with their own participation as community volunteers, and we're happy to reward their efforts with these financial donations."

Bank Plus employees performed 1552 hours of volunteer service in the last year, including the following staff members who volunteered the most hours and have been rewarded with the $100 donations for their favorite charities: Trudy Blome, Jeff Buechler, Barb Christensen, Lauri Drew, Deb Eastin, Daryl Eickhoff, John Folsom, Brian Jackson, Brad Jungers, Jennifer LeSieur, Coleen Lundgren, Colleen McGraw, Ron Menendez, Kevin Pernick, Anna Sanderson and Pam Spoo.

The organizations that received the $100 donations from the bank include:

American Cancer Society, Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA) Palo Alto County, Crossroads Community Church, ELC Parent Action Team, Emmet County 4-H Foundation, Emmet County Animal Shelter, Emmet County Relay for Life, Estherville Firemen's Association, Graettinger Development Corporation, Hillcrest Fundraiser, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Estherville, Ledyard Farm & Business Association, Martin Luther High School Tuition Fund, Northrop MN, Michael J Fox Foundation, Owatonna Homestead Hospice House and Wallingford Lutheran Church.

"For coaching a little league team, working at a community event, or serving at their church, Bank Plus applauds our employees for their active participation in events that benefit many area residents and organizations," Folsom commented. "With their personal efforts and the bank's financial support, together we can improve our communities for all area residents."
