Consider a park at Roosevelt next year

September 2, 2015

There are probably more little kids per square inch in my part of town(west and north of the old middle school) than just about anywhere, but no community playground. Thoreson and Lincoln are some distance away. With the departure of the school from that location next year, this would be a great opportunity to start a park/playground for the kids in this part of town behind the Roosevelt site. Perhaps the school could lease a corner of land to the community for $1 a year, much like Trinity Lutheran does for Trinity Park, and perhaps the school could leave behind the swings and curvy slide, and maybe some Exel money could be found for some new equipment? I know a lot of little kids would really appreciate it.

Just an idea
