Man arrested following Ringsted burglaries

Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens reports that a Ringsted man was arrested following the investigation into two burglaries that occurred in Ringsted in the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 18.

According to Martens, at 7:22 a.m., the sheriff's office received a report of a burglary to the Home Improvement Center in Ringsted and later to the Ringsted Public Library.

As the result of the investigation a Ringsted man James Robert Wagar Jr., 29, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 22 and charged with two counts of third-degre burglary, one count of criminal mischief in the second degree and one count of criminal mischief in the third degree

Wagar was booked into the Emmet County Jail where he was later released after the posting of a $5,000 surety bond.
