Short a couple players, Estherville Lincoln Central didn't have its best night at its home golf invitational on Tuesday.

Spencer edged Emmetsburg for top honors 201 to 202 with Spencer shooting 22 and ELC finishing with 238. Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire was short a player for a team score.

Molly Diekmann led the Midgets as she shot a 50 to finish fifth overall.

"We were short a few people tonight and didn't have the best rounds. This is where it helps tremendously to have that 5 or 6 girl that can come in with a round to help the team score," said ELC coach Kevin Richardson. "Molly played very well to finish fifth. Spirit Lake, Emmetsburg, and Spencer are the top three teams in the conference and so it was tough competition tonight."

Also counting for ELC, Katherine Johnson shot a 57, Gracie Schnell shot a 60 and Addison Dostal and Olivia Truog both shot 71.

ELC is off until next Tuesday, when they take on Western Christian and Emmetsburg at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Linn.

GT/RA results

The Titans had just three players on the course with Madison Petersen leading the way with a 54. Lauren Josephson shot a 64 and Annika Akridge shot a 70.

The Titans are at Newell-Fonda today.
