Todd Edward Thompson was born Dec. 15, 1962, to Hugh and Virginia Thompson. Todd grew up on a farm outside of Superior, Iowa and attended Terril High School. After high school, Todd graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. Todd started his banking career after college in Newton, Iowa, as an Agriculture Loan Officer. He continued in the banking industry joining Wells Fargo in Mankato, Minn., and advancing with Wells Fargo until President in Winona. He expanded his banking opportunities in the commercial division with U.S. Bank in LaCrosse, Wis. Todd married Angela in 1993 and they were blessed with three wonderful children, Cal, Sommer and Sydnee. Todd's greatest joy was his children. He spent many hours at the ice rink coaching and watching all three play hockey and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. He looked forward to the days of summer so he could get up early, go out on his fishing boat and catch the next big fish fry. Summer also provided him a bountiful garden he got to enjoy all year with all the time he spent canning and freezing his vegetables, Hunting was always a love of Todd's, and any kind of hunting was a good hunt. In addition to spending time with the kids, Todd was involved with many community activities; Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Charitable events and a variety Board of Director positions.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Cal, Sommer, Sydnee and their mother Angela. Parents Hugh and Virginia Thompson, his sister Holly Stiff, Sioux Falls, her husband Rob, nieces Sierra and Bergen and nephew Carson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents and brother Brad.

In lieu of flowers, Todd's family prefers that memorials be directed to the charity of your choice in Todd's name.
