Titans jump out to 30-3 lead over Panthers

GRAETTINGER - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire girls had little trouble in defeating a St. Mary, Storm Lake Team that suited just six players.

The Titans led jumped out to a 30-3 lead in the first quarter and led 58-8 at halftime. With a running clock, the scoring slowed in the second half, with GT/RA leading 64-13 after three quarters and winning 75-29.

GT/RA shot better than 50 percent (30-of-57) from the field, including 8-of-18 from 3-point range.

Madison Hough led the Titans with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Three other Titans reached double digits with Emma Heinrichs finished with 13 points while Madison Norris and Toni Alesch each had 11. Norris was 3-of-4 from 3-point range while Alesch was 2-of-2 and Heinrichs was 2-of-4.

Anna Sorenson and Chloe Bakken each chipped in eight points, Lauren Josephson had four, Sayde Weller had two and Taylor Park had one.

GT/RA (12-6 overall, 5-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference) travels to Burnside on Friday to take on Southeast Valley.
