Funeral services for Marjorie McGrath, 92, of Estherville, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Thomas Marth officiating. Interment will be at East Side Memorial Cemetery, Estherville. She died on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church only on Saturday.

Marjorie McGrath the daughter of Henry and Sadie (Hansen) Fehland was born April 30, 1926 in Pipestone, Minn.

Marjorie received her education in the Jasper, Minn., school system, graduating from Jasper High School in 1943.

On June 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Harold McGrath at Jasper, Minn. The family moved to Estherville in 1972, where Harold and Marjorie owned and operated Harold's Red Owl until retirement in 1991. Harold died in 1998.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville, Lois Circle, Ladies Guild, Hospital Auxiliary, Good Samaritan Auxiliary and the Community Christmas Project. For hobbies, she enjoyed golfing, gardening, quilting and volunteering. She also was a fabulous cook and made the best apple and rhubarb pies.

Left to cherish Marjorie's memory are her children, Sharon (Steve) Tanner; Linda (Larry) Stromberg; Gary McGrath; Tom McGrath; Pat (Darla) McGrath; three grandchildren; Kristine Shudes, Lisa Frommie and Matthew Knox; her six great-grandchildren; Lauryn Klahn, Brady Klahn, Alex Frommie, Maci Frommie, Ella Fitzgerald and Mattie Fitzgerald and her sister Donna Boeck.

She has been preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sadie; husband, Harold; brother, Helmer and granddaughter, Julie.
