Iowans keep Governor who was appointed after Terry Branstad left state to become Ambassador to China

Gov. Kim Reynolds has been in the governor's office since May 24, 2017 after then-governor Terry Branstad left office to become Ambassador to China. In her first election to the post, Reynolds beat out Democratic challenger Fred Hubbell by three percent.
