Estherville Lincoln Central senior Josie Condon will lend her basketball talents to the Briar Cliff Chargers next year, as she signed with the Sioux City team Tuesday afternoon.

Condon, a four-year starter for ELC, scored 618 points during her first three seasons, which included 94 3-pointers. Forty-five of those 3-pointers came last season. Condon is a 73 percent free throw shooter, making 100-of-137 over that time span.

Briar Cliff coach Mike Power said his assistant, Bay'lee Purdy, first noticed Condon at a summer AAU tournament.

"She (Bay'lee) was really impressed with her play during the summer and the way she can shoot it," said Power. "The college game may be more tailored to her than high school-just the style of play."

Condon said she enjoyed meeting the coaching staff at Briar Cliff.

"The coaching staff is just amazing," she said. "Also, being away from home, it still felt like home."
