Hannah Olson earned the lone conference championship by winning the 200-meter dash in 27.30 seconds-a career-best time. Teammate Riley Christoffer finished second in the event in 27.34 to also earn all-conference honors.

Both runners were part of the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relays teams that set school records and finished second. Christoffer ran the lead leg in both races, followed by Jordyn Moore, Olson and Natalie Lausen.

The 4x100-meter time of 51.52 seconds broke the 1983 record of 51.70 seconds held by Debi Adams, Denis Adams, Donna Ostheimer and Julie Lammers.

The 4x200-meter relay team's time of 1:47.77 broke the previous 1983 record of 1:47.87.

ELC coach JR Nitchals said several other runners ran season-best times on Thursday.

ELC returns to action Monday at Emmetsburg, before traveling to the state-qualifying meet at Sioux Center on Thursday.
