City to close tree dump

City officials announced the closure of the Estherville tree dump effective Monday, Oct. 5. Officials say the closure is due to limited space at the tree dump, the burn ban currently in effect for Emmet County and the recent rash of illegal fires being set at the dump site. The city reminded residents that the collection of leaves and lawn rakings begins Oct. 5 and continues through Monday, Nov. 9. Please call 712-362-7771 if you have questions.
