Jill Burgeson-Green, a five-year veteran appraiser with the Dickinson County Assessor’s Office, took charge of the Emmet County Assessor’s Office effective Feb. 4.
Burgeson-Green replaces Barb Alig who retired at the end of last year.
Burgeson-Green, a graduate in accounting from Hamilton Business School in Mason City, has a wide range of experience in assessing property ranging from agricultural to high-end lake homes in Dickinson County. She is already hard at work in doing 2008 appraisal work.
She joins Nancy Bebo, sales analyst and GIS coordinator; Dar Lewis, appraiser; and Sharon Woodyard, office assistant.
“I’ve been welcomed with open arms and the staff is great,” Burgeson-Green said.
She and her two children currently live in Lake Park and plan to relocate to Estherville.
