Wholly Grape & Ale

You’d better tune up your ukulele and get that grass skirt out of the closet. The second annual Avera Holy Family Foundation Wholly Grape & Ale fundraising event will be held Friday, March 28 at Estherville Golf Course.

The social event of the season will be held from 5-9 p.m. Admission includes sample wines and beers, both domestic and imports, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. Entertainment will be provided by Randy Yackle, along with guest featured singers.

A Hawaiian luau theme will be held downstairs this year. The luau buffet will include ham balls, roasted pork sandwiches, chicken wings, smokies, fruit skewers with pineapple, and veggie rolls.

Upstairs there will be bacon-wrapped scallops, jumbo shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, veggies and dip, cheese tray and crackers, bread bowl with spinach dip, cheese ball with crackers, and spinach and artichoke dip.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, $20 for five, or $50 for 15 and are available at the Avera Family Health admissions desk, administration office, or community relations office.

Raffle items include two top prizes of $500 in Estherville City Bucks. Other raffle items include an Amish style solid oak bench; antique oak children’s chair; gift certificates from Mother Nature’s, Don Jose, Grand Buffet, and more; a beautiful area rug; set of table lamps; framed artwork and prints; Longaberger wrought iron countertop wine rack and accessory set; gift packages from Arbonne, Tastefully Simple, Adore Candles, and more; Midgets hoodie; oil change; whirlpool suite package; TracFone; or pamper yourself with manicures, haircuts and styles, massages, tanning, and more. You do not need to be present to win.

Gold corporate sponsorships, those giving $1,000 or more, include: Emmet County State Bank, Fitzgibbons Law Firm, NEXT, Inc., NorthStar Bank & Agency, Dakota Pack, Estherville Foods, Heartland Technology & Transport, Henry Olson Fuhrman Funeral Home, and Holiday Express.
