Graettinger OKs $4.6M budget
GRAETTINGER — The Graettinger Community School District Board of Education Monday night held a public hearing and approved a budget of $4,608,405 for fiscal 2008-09.
The district will levy $895,396 on property taxes, for a rate of 11.76718.
Other revenue sources include:
n State foundation aid, $1,011,190.
n Tuition/transportation, $520,000.
n Other revenues from local sources, $449,500.
n Foster care, ed excellence, and other state sources, $244,110.
n Student activities and sales, $165,000.
n Income surtaxes, $124,337.
n IDEA and other federal sources, $75,000.
n Nutrition program sales, $73,500.
n Title I grants, $30,000.
n Earnings on investments, $18,380.
n Utility replacement excise tax, $13,172.
n Instructional support state aid, $5,877.
For expenses, instruction will comprise $2,925,376 of the budget. Other expenses include:
n Plant operation and maintenance, $626,000.
n Student transportation, $215,000.
n Noninstructional programs, $194,000.
n General administration, $153,400.
n Business and central administration, $148,752.
n School/building administration, $115,000.
n AEA support, $88,267.
n Instructional staff support services, $70,000.
n Student support services, $35,000.
The budget includes a 5 percent coaching raise, 4.35 for teachers, and 4.15 percent overall which the board also approved Monday in the negotiations settlement.
