Missions fundraiser for Ecuador
The end result will either have the winner kissing a pig or shaving hair.
This special fundraising contest will culminate at the Soup and Pie Supper slated for Friday, March 28 from 5-7 p.m. at Grandview Baptist Church. There will be three containers for the collection of money in honor of Deb Jorgenson, Rick Brant and Pastor Joel Jorgenson. When the total collection is counted, the person obtaining the most money at the conclusion of the supper will do one of the following:
n Kiss a pig, Deb Jorgenson.
n Shave his mustache, Brant.
n Shave his head, Pastor Joel.
The soup and pie supper will features a variety of soups and pies, beverage and crackers. A silent auction on several items is also planned for that evening.
All monies raised will go toward expenses for the Ecuador Missions Trip where a group of 20 parishioners will spend two weeks this summer in the South American country as they help build a children’s orphanage in the town of Shell, population 2,000.
