Supervisors OK license, permits
The Emmet County Board of Supervisors approved a liquor license and utility permits at its meeting Tuesday.
The liquor license for Riverview Golf Course was approved. Also approved was an agreement for new voting machines. The State of Iowa will pay $59,400 of the cost with with the remaining cost the county’s responsibility. Auditor Bev Juhl said the amount of the county’s share is not yet known.
Utility permits were approved for Iowa Lakes Electric and Iowa Lakes Regional Water, both in Sections 4 and 5 of High Lake Township.
The board also discussed possible purchase of a used low boy trailer for the secondary roads department.
Supervisor Jim Jenson wants to remind all area contractors that they have until this Friday to register for a mandatory eight-hour training if they want to submit bids for the Estherville Housing Rehabilitation Project. Contractors may call Carol Keizer at Northwest Iowa Planning & Development Commission at 1-800-798-7224 to register for the class.
