Estherville clean up week planned

The City of Estherville will conduct a city-wide clean up of most bulky items for residential customers during the week of June 9 at no charge.

Collection wil be made ONLY on the day residential solid waste is normally collected and items should be placed at the curb the night before. Items, that will be collected, include furniture and miscellaneous items too large for bags.

Call city offices for approval on very large, heavy or unusual items.

Certain items, generally appliances, will be collected for a $20 fee per item. The fee must be paid at city offices prior to collection. A sticker will be provided to attach to the item.

Normal trash, garbage and small items should be placed in city-metered bags.

Items that will not be collected include: vehicles and trailers, tires, landscape waste, lead acid batteries, fuel tanks, hazardous materials, construction/demolition materials and liquid products. The city also reserves the right to refuse certain items or amounts of materials as inappropriate for collection.
