Corny carp results released

Olivia Troug and Nick Leonard were the big winners in the Corny Carp Fishing Derby held last Thursday in conjunction with Sweet Corn Days.

Olivia took first place in the 7-10 age group with her 3-pound, 5-ounce catch. Second in her age group were Jesse Wolfe, 2 pounds, 8 ounces; Domanique Richardson, 2 pounds, 6 ounces, third; Kyendra Anderson, 2 pounds, one ounce, fourth; and Toby Jensen, one pound, fifth.

Nick caught the only two fish in the age 6 and under age group at 2 pounds, 14 ounces and one pound, 12 ounces.

Under age 6 – Brad Anderson, Cory Engelsden, Destiny Engelsden, Alex Garber, Elie Garber, Ryan Hobmeier, Daryl Jensen, Ryan Jensen, Ryan Leonard, Maliea Moore, Isaak Reineke, Kolin Richardson, Dominic Saenz, Ryan Schiltz, Jaden Templin and Justin Wolfe.

Ages 7-10 – Suzy Anderson, Nick Egeland, Adrianna Garber, Eli Gonzalez, Morgan Halber, Jon Hammerschmidt, Jace Hobmeier, Levi Hobmeier, Payton Jorgenson, Alec Kautz, John Leon, Randy Leon, Levi Lindell, Bennett Loock, Seth Loock, Jacob Metzger, Daiena Morales, Jaci Morales, Joscslen Morales, Dustin Petersen, McKenna Rasica, Gabrielle Richard, Cali Rippentrop, Kenlee Schilling, Will Schiltz, Caleb Sharar and Chance Williams.

Ages 11-14 – Chase Bonner, Gable Bonner, C.J. Cheever, Austin Egeland, Zach Humble, Shane Mills, Joshua Nystrom, Dylan Petersen and Jordan Whittrock.

A total of 57 children registered for the event attended by over 150 people.
