Lund retains board seat

With 664 individuals voting in the Iowa Lakes Community College Director District 2 race in a portion of Emmet County, incumbent Jan Lund retains her seat on the board with 59.94 percent of the vote.

She garnered 398 votes while 266 cast their votes for challenger Bob Grems.

In Dickinson County, Lund captured 20 votes with Grems gaining 16.

In local school board elections in Emmet County, unopposed directors-at-large retain their seats with the Estherville Lincoln Central School Board.

Mike Karels received 480 votes and 474 votes were cast for Don B. Schiltz.

In the Armstrong-Ringsted race for director in District 1, incumbent Rod Foster received 175 votes. There were five write-in votes.

In the director-at-large race in the A-R School District, challenger Donald L. Looft captured 131 votes while incumbent Marti F. Kindrick received 83 votes.

Results from Dickinson County are as follows:

Harris Lake Park District 3 (one seat): incumbent Gary L. Johnson, 58 votes.

Harris Lake Park District 5: incumbent Shelley M. Heikens, 58 votes.

Okoboji Schools (two seats): incumbent Markham D. Hale, 73 votes and incumbent Christopher Stein, 94 votes. There were also 10 write-in votes.

Spirit Lake Schools (one seat): Patrick C. Butler, 332 votes, incumbent Cliff Garvey, 125 votes, and Randy Magg, 453 votes. There were also two write-in votes.

Terril Schools, three-year term (one seat): incumbent Galen Chicoine, 23 votes and Shelley Bisenius, 6 votes.

Terril Schools, one-year (one seat): incumbent Shelly Bisenius, 8 votes as a write-in.

Iowa Lakes Community College Director District 5: Michael Chozen, 34 votes and incumbent Howard Bud Kyle, 70 votes.
