Official Trick-or-Treat within the Estherville city limits is 5-8 p.m. tonight. Residents who wish to greet the little beggars with treats and goodies are asked to have the porch light on during the beguiling hours listed above.

Children are cautioned to wear some type of reflective material on their costumes and to be aware of traffic at all times.

Halloween Parties

Once the begging concludes on the evening of Friday, Oct. 31, Estherville youth will be treated to age-appropriate parties during the evening of Saturday, Nov. 1

n From 6-8 p.m., children in pre-school-second grade, will be welcomed at the Estherville Fire Hall for games, food and costume contest.

n The VFW will be the place for third and fourth graders to congregate from 6-8 p.m. They too will be treated with a costume contest, food and games.

n Students in fifth and sixth grade can attend their party at Skateland from 6-9 p.m. Skating, games and food will be available.

n A dance at the Estherville Lincoln Central Middle School gymnasium is planned for students in seventh and eighth grades from 7-10 p.m. They will be entertained by “The Best of” Jerry Gladis of Tracy, Minn. Those attending will be treated to pizza.

n ELC students in grades 9-12 can attend a dance in the high school cafeteria from 9-midnight. They too will be dancing to music provided by “The Best of” Jerry Gladis. The featured fare for this crowd will be pizza.
