Bound for Augustana

Estherville Lincoln Central High School will have strong representation at the 51st Annual Augustana College Concert Band Festival on Nov. 14-15 on the Augustana College campus.

ELC Band Director Laura Fix will accompany her student musicians to the festival.

Up to 12 students from each school may be nominated for the festival, and the top musicians from the five-state region are chosen for the event. Those selected spend their weekend attending rehearsals, clinics, recitals and recreational activities.

Selected from ELC are:

n Ryan Hoffman, senior, trumpet.

n Stephanie Lynch, senior, clarinet.

n Macy Milburn, senior, alto sax.

n Alex Rosburg, senior, trumpet.

n Schuyler Webb, senior, trombone.

n Sarah Christenson, junior, flute.

n Ryan Marks, junior, clarinet.

n Jeannine Fix, sophomore, trumpet.

n Serena Lynch, sophomore, French horn.

A Grand Finale Concert will be held Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Washington Pavilion. The concert will feature the Augustana Band, conducted by Dr. Bruce T. Ammann and the three festival bands.

Participating high school musicians will perform in one of these three festival bands, under the direction of guest conductor Ray Cramer, director of bands emeritus from Indiana University, Dr. Bruce Amman, Ausgustana College band director, and Dr. Paul Schilf, associate director of bands at Augustana College.

The Grand Finale Concert is open to the public, and family and friends are encouraged to attend. Tickets are available by either going in person, online or calling the Washington Pavilion Box Office, 605-367-6000.
