Wallingford FD hosting annual raffle, dinner
WALLINGFORD – The Wallingford Community Fire Department is planning its annual Benefit Raffle and Dinner for Saturday, June 13.
Wallingford Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer said, “Monies raised are going to help support our training and help us purchase personal protection equipment for the fire and emergency medical personnel. We are also looking at buying water rescue equipment. Our department serves the city of Wallingford, High Lake Township and 12 Mile Lake Township.”
Supporters are encouraged to attend the ribeye steak sandwich dinner that includes potato salad, potato chips, baked beans and beverages from 5-8 p.m. at the Wallingford Community Center. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for children under 10 years of age.
Home delivery is available for residents in the Wallingford area who are unable to attend. The option of take-out is also available to diners.
The event is being planned by the 30 volunteers of the Wallingford fire and rescue operation. Also featured at the event will be the raffles of items including a homemade quilt, flat screen TV and other miscellaneous items.
Fischer said a silent auction will be conducted during the dinner. “Tickets are available by contacting any firefighter and winners need not be present.”
Supplemental funds will be provided by Emmet County Thrivent Financial.
