Investigations lead to eight arrests

EMMETSBURG – Two criminal investigations conducted by the Emmetsburg Police Department resulted in the arrest of eight individuals on June 4.

In a press release issued Monday by Emmetsburg Police Chief Eric Hanson, two Emmetsburg residents are facing multiple charges following a joint criminal investigation involving Emmetsburg Police, the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office and the Armstrong Police Department.

Nathan Oliver Nock, 21, of Emmetsburg, was charged with ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B Felony; two counts of money laundering, Class C felony; two counts of child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanor; two counts of conspiracy to deliver marijuana, serious misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, serious misdemeanor and hosting a gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

Jamie Suzette Parsons, 48, of Emmetsburg was charged with ongoing criminal conduct, Class B Felony; two counts of money laundering, Class C Felony; child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanor; two counts of conspiracy to deliver marijuana, serious misdemeanor; and two counts of possession of marijuana, serious misdemeanor.

On June 4, Nock and Parsons were arrested and taken into custody, pursuant to valid Palo Alto County arrest warrants. Bond each subject was set at $35,000.

The pair was placed in the Palo Alto County Jail to await their initial court appearances.

Also on June 4, the Emmetsburg Police Department conducted a joint investigation with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Through this investigation, information was gathered and confirmed that criminal conduct was occurring at a residence in Emmetsburg.

A search warrant was applied for an obtained pursuant to the information provided by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 5, the search warrant was executed at 3604 Fifth St., Lot No. 3, in Emmetsburg. The search warrant was carried out by the MART Team.

As a result, six adult individuals were arrested and taken into custody by the Emmetsburg Police. Those subjects are:

n Joseph Ray McKnight, 28, of Emmetsburg. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, simple misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

n Adam Louis Jenkinson, 24, Emmetsburg. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

n Erick Charles Frank, 24, Emmetsburg. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

n Nicholas James Gappa, 25, Emmetsburg. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

n Sarah Jean Weyer, 21, of Emmetsburg. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

n Haley Nicole Pettit, 18, of Emmetsburg. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, serious misdemeanor; and gathering where marijuana is distributed, serious misdemeanor.

All six individuals were transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where they were booked to await their initial appearances.
